NOVELTY TREND - LUNA'S DREAM

I was first assigned the Novelty Trend - a new, unusual & interesting collection with fun youthful prints for children, keeping in mind it would contain throws, sheet sets, bed in a bag, bath decor, dec pillows, & home decor. I began with a simple blue color palette that I thought would easily stand out across all products, playing with simple crescent moons, clouds, & stars. Then I played with more color thinking about sunsets at bedtime & utilizing fun fonts for a childlike look, like a cloud shaped hang tag would be really fun & something never done before here. I executed concepts & released the brand guide end of July 2024.

The decision was made around May 2024 to give our team the task of coming up with new trend designs to fit under 7 different "Lifestyle" categories of ready-made Art Packs that our buying teams could choose from for any of their "In & Out" collections that would only sit on the store shelf for a 2-3 month period of time, giving a more 'closeout' feel of products to customers with better than closeout-looking packaging solutions.

NOVELTY TREND - OLIVE & IVORY

The second trend under the Novelty category - Olive & Ivory - was created for a feminine & more teenage audience. I began with a simple color palette of greens & creams to match the trend title & I then explored more fun feminine colors from there. This whole category was originally supposed to be more youthful so it wasn't made known until my first round review that a more teenage audience would fit this trend better, which is why some of my first concepts here were turned down as a bit too young. Narrowed down with some edits & put to a survey for the second round, there were multiple favorites here so it was a tight race. I executed concepts in September & released the brand guide by first week of October 2024.

LUXE & GLAM TREND - CASA ISABELLA

Under the Luxe & Glam category, Casa Isabella was created with a feel of luxury & sophistication in mind, where this trend would contain throws, home decor, dec pillows, bath, accent furniture, & lamps. I experimented with metallics & played with more intricate patterns & flourishes, utilizing some darker colors that would be more rich & make the golds & silvers stand out more for that feeling of luxury. I executed concepts in November & released the brand guide in December 2024.

SPA TREND - INDIGO BUNGALOW

Under the Spa category, Indigo Bungalow was created to be calming & refreshing, where this trend would contain throws, robes, bath, candles, & sheet sets. I experimented with metallics & played with more intricate patterns & flourishes, utilizing some darker colors that would be more rich & make the golds & silvers stand out more for that feeling of luxury. I executed concepts in early December & released the brand guide by December 19, 2024 on my last day of work.
